Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 22.5 points to 16236.3 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Vodafone Idea, Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd., Keerti Knowledge and Inventure Grwth, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 20 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 30 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Eicher Motors, Bharti Airtel, HCL Tech, Wipro and Tech Mahindra were among top gainers, while SBI, IndusInd Bank, Indian Oil Corp., Tata Steel and ONGC traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 70.13 points down at 54299.64 at 10:35AM (IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Diversified, IT Software, Metals – Ferrous, Telecommunications and Retail sectors, while selling was visible in Petrochemicals, Power, Sugar, Industrial Consumables and Irrigation & Allied Services sectors.
