NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 215.12 points down at 54277.72 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Captain Technocast (down 18.86 per cent), AA Plus Tradelink Ltd. (down 15.29 per cent), De Nora India (down 12.79 per cent), Garnet Intnl (down 10.00 per cent) and Future Supply Chain (down 9.99 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 23 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 56.4 points down at 16238.2.
On the BSE, Garnet Intnl, Grandeur Prods, RSC Intnl, Future Market and Sterling Guar hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Veeram Securities, A-1 Acid, BASF India, Medicamen Bio and Shivalik Rasayan touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
