Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today’s trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of PVP Ventures Ltd., Accuracy Shipping, BASF India, Venus Remedies and Gujarat Sidhee, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Friday’s trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 56.4 points down at 16238.2 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Viceroy Hotels, Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd. and AKG Exim Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 23 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 27 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, IndusInd Bank, Adani Ports SEZ, Indian Oil Corp., Tata Consumer and Bharti Airtel were among top gainers during the day, while Cipla, RIL, Shree Cements, UltraTech Cem. and SBI ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 215.12 points down at 54277.72.

Traders piled up positions in IT – Hardware, Diversified, Shipping, Trading and Irrigation & Allied Services sectors, while selling was witnessed in Petrochemicals, Power, Cement, Industrial Consumables and Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock sectors during the day.
