On the other hand, Lupin (down 6.17 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals (down 4.12 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (down 2.62 per cent), Cadila Healthcare (down 2.2 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 1.74 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 1.46 per cent down at 14291.15.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 2.15 points at 16282.25, while the BSE Sensex stood down 28.73 points at 54525.93.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 ended in the green, while 26 closed in the red.

Shares of Ugro Capital, Hikal Ltd, Jubilant Ingrevia Ltd., Nelco Ltd and N K Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Shrenik, AKG Exim Ltd., Future Market, Network People Services Technologies Ltd. and Chaman Lal Setia hit their fresh 52-week lows.
