AU Small Finance Bank (up 1.11 per cent), Punjab National Bank (up 0.8 per cent), Federal Bank (up 0.7 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 0.42 per cent) and HDFC Bank (up 0.27 per cent) were among the top gainers.
IDFCBANK (down 1.39 per cent), RBLBANK (down 0.48 per cent), Bandhan Bank (down 0.39 per cent), Axis Bank (down 0.29 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (down 0.26 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was up 0.1 per cent at 35840.6 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 39.0 points at 16321.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 126.8 points at 54652.73.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.

Shares of Indoco Remedies, Nelco Ltd, Brooks Labs, Albert David and Hikal Ltd hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Network People Services Technologies Ltd., Future Market, Viceroy Hotels, Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd. and YES Bank hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
