Aurobindo Pharma (down 7.38 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories (down 0.97 per cent), Cipla (down 0.5 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals (down 0.41 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 0.38 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.89 per cent at 14007.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 70.1 points at 16434.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 232.75 points at 55076.73.
