TVS Motor Company (down 3.51 per cent), Bajaj Auto (down 1.45 per cent), Amara Raja Batteries (down 1.0 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (down 0.83 per cent) and Eicher Motors (down 0.64 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was down 0.37 per cent at 10140.6 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 2.3 points at 16531.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 36.49 points at 55473.78.
