Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 2.45 points to 16526.65 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Windlas Biotech Ltd., AKG Exim Ltd., Suryoday Small Finance Bank Ltd., Future Market and Gulf Oil India, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 21 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 29 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Steel, M&M, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance and BPCL were among top gainers, while Bajaj Auto, Divis Labs, Maruti Suzuki, Shree Cements and Power Grid traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 31.59 points up at 55468.88 at 10:45AM (IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Diversified, Metals – Ferrous, Hospitals & Allied Services, Leather and IT Enabled Services sectors, while selling was visible in Petrochemicals, Power, Aquaculture, Industrial Consumables and Tea / Coffee sectors.
