NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 276.88 points up at 56069.15 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Sun Retail (down 19.51 per cent), Goblin India (down 10.00 per cent), Triveni Enterprises (down 9.97 per cent), Misquita Engineering (down 9.96 per cent) and Utique Enterprises (down 9.76 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 37 stocks traded in the green, while 13 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 75.2 points up at 16689.8.
On the BSE, Misquita Engineering, Grandeur Prods, PVP Ventures Ltd., Acewin Agriteck and Ozone World hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sharp India, Shriram Asset, Photoquip Ind, VST Tiller Trac and MindTree touched their fresh 52-week highs.
