NEW DELHI: Tata Steel (Rs. 1770.77 crore), CarTrade Tech Ltd. (Rs. 995.29 crore), MindTree (Rs. 786.55 crore), Apollo Hospital (Rs. 668.49 crore), HDFC (Rs. 484.11 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs. 447.56 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs. 429.11 crore), Infosys (Rs. 388.55 crore), Vedanta (Rs. 381.73 crore) and Fortis Healthcare (Rs. 366.49 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:40AM in Friday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index traded 145.5 points down at 16423.35, while BSE Sensex was down 373.68 points at 55255.81 as of 10:40AM (IST) on August 20.
In the Nifty index, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 2.23 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd. (up 1.61 per cent), Infosys Ltd. (up 0.22 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (up 0.21 per cent) and Nestle India Ltd. (up 0.17 per cent) were among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Tata Steel Ltd. (down 6.32 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 6.01 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 5.49 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 4.11 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd. (down 2.78 per cent) were among the top losers.
