NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 283.15 points down at 55346.34 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Sun Retail (down 12.12 per cent), Metal Coatings (down 11.61 per cent), Rodium Realty (down 10.25 per cent), Sandur Manganese (down 10.25 per cent) and Dr. Lalchandani Labs (down 9.98 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 8 stocks traded in the green, while 42 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 109.65 points down at 16459.2.
On the BSE, Shangar Decor, Ujjivan SFB, CarTrade Tech Ltd., Ozone World and MadhuveerCom18 hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Nakoda Group Of Ind, KMC Speciality, Kennametal India, Vaksons Automobiles and GKP Printing & Pack touched their fresh 52-week highs.
