NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 226.47 points up at 55555.79 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Capacit’e Infraprojects Ltd. (down 19.99 per cent), Franklin Leasing & F (down 19.60 per cent), Ujjivan Financial (down 14.44 per cent), Sadbhav Eng (down 13.02 per cent) and Trio Mercantile (down 12.77 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 22 stocks closed in the green, while 27 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 45.95 points up at 16496.45.
On the BSE, Ujjivan Financial, Trio Mercantile, Kemistar Corp, Shangar Decor and Windlas Biotech Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while BLS Int. Services, Arvind Fashions, Megastar Foods, Steel Exchange and Radhey Trade Holding touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
