NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 14.77 points down at 55944.21 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Unishire Urban Infr (down 14.86 per cent), Maestros Elec (down 10.39 per cent), Trekkingtoes.com (down 10.00 per cent), SKP Securities (down 9.99 per cent) and Visco Trade Associat (down 9.96 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks closed in the green, while 29 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 10.05 points up at 16634.65.
On the BSE, Maestros Elec, Abans Enterprises, Advance Lifestyles Ltd., Dhruv Wellness and Sterling Guar hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Hind Rectifiers, Adeshwar Meditex Ltd., Atam Valves, Saksoft Ltd and Linde India touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
