NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 28.30 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 9.19 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 5.84 crore), NMDC (numbers of share traded: 4.38 crore), GTL Infra (numbers of share traded: 3.69 crore), PNB (numbers of share traded: 3.55 crore), NALCO (numbers of share traded: 3.42 crore), Canara Bank (numbers of share traded: 3.02 crore), South Indian Bnk (numbers of share traded: 2.72 crore) and JP Power (numbers of share traded: 2.59 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 2.25 points up at 16636.9, while BSE Sensex ended up 4.89 points at 55949.1.
On the other hand, Bharti Airtel Ltd. (down 4.17 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 1.73 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (down 1.53 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 1.53 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down 1.37 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
