Bandhan Bank (up 1.36 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 0.3 per cent), RBLBANK (up 0.25 per cent), Punjab National Bank (up 0.14 per cent) and AU Small Finance Bank (up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Federal Bank (down 0.81 per cent), State Bank of India (down 0.42 per cent), HDFC Bank (down 0.22 per cent) and Axis Bank (down 0.11 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.03 per cent at 35575.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 37.3 points at 16671.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 131.18 points at 56075.39.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.
