NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 13.5 points up at 55962.60 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Atam Valves (down 10.44 per cent), Best Eastern (down 9.92 per cent), Interactive Fin. Ser (down 9.87 per cent), Informed Tech (down 9.59 per cent) and Shristi Infra (down 9.17 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 32 stocks traded in the green, while 18 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 18.8 points up at 16655.7.
On the BSE, Niks Technology Ltd., ETT Ltd, Advance Lifestyles Ltd., RJ Shah Co and Sterling Guar hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Oriental Veneer, Laxmi Organic Industries Ltd., Zen Tech, GKP Printing & Pack and Pradeep Metals touched their fresh 52-week highs.
