NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 3.41 crore), NALCO (number of shares traded: 1.48 crore), JP Power (number of shares traded: 1.22 crore), Bharti Airtel (number of shares traded: 1.03 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 1.00 crore), Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 0.96 crore), PNB (number of shares traded: 0.89 crore), Indian Energy Exchg (number of shares traded: 0.84 crore), SAIL (number of shares traded: 0.77 crore) and BHEL (number of shares traded: 0.69 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 09:59AM in Tuesday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 20.95 points up at 16952.0, while BSE Sensex was up 83.3 points at 56973.06 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 2.30 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd. (up 1.33 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (up 1.24 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd. (up 1.02 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd. (up 0.92 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Tata Motors Ltd. (down 1.35 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 0.95 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 0.86 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd. (down 0.71 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (down 0.52 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
