Abbott India, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals, Dalmia Bharat, Delta Corp, India Cements, JK Cement, Oberoi Realty and Persistent Systems will be available for trading in F&O segment from October 1, the NSE circular said.
Following the development, shares of cement producer India Cements rallied 7 per cent to Rs 175.30, whereas Oberoi Realty soared 6 per cent to Rs 750 during early trade on Wednesday.
Shares of Persistent Systems and JK Cement gained 4 per cent each to Rs 3,464.85 and Rs 3,406.85, respectively.
Abbott India, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals, Dalmia Bharat and Delta Corp added over 3 per cent each during the day. BSE Sensex was trading 317.83 points, or 0.55 per cent, higher at 57,870.22 at the time of writing this report.
Santosh Meena, Head of Research, Swastika Investmart, said it has been observed that many new stocks enter the F&O segment in a bull market as more stocks manage to meet the exchange criteria of liquidity and market capitalization.
“There is always a sentimental positive impact on the stocks that enter into the F&O segment where we have seen a strong surge in recently added stocks. Most of the recent inclusions are quality names,” he added.
Recently, NSE had added 10 stocks including, Can Fin Homes, Dixon Technologies, Hindustan Aeronautics, Indian Energy Exchange, IndiaMART InterMESH, Ipca Lab, MCX, Oracle Financial, Polycab India and Syngene International in the F&O segment with effect from August 27.
