NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 35.74 crore), Dish TV India (numbers of share traded: 13.69 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 11.57 crore), NALCO (numbers of share traded: 3.95 crore), Coal India Ltd (numbers of share traded: 3.57 crore), SAIL (numbers of share traded: 3.53 crore), Trident Ltd (numbers of share traded: 3.50 crore), IDFC (numbers of share traded: 2.46 crore), Suzlon Energy (numbers of share traded: 2.33 crore) and BHEL (numbers of share traded: 2.16 crore) emerged top gainers in Monday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 13.95 points down at 17355.3, while BSE Sensex ended down 127.31 points at 58177.76.
On the other hand, Reliance Industries Ltd. (down 2.23 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd. (down 1.78 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (down 0.86 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd. (down 0.83 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 0.69 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
