Shares of Mindtree (up 4.52 per cent), Oracle Financial Services Software (up 1.86 per cent), Tata Consultancy (up 1.42 per cent), Wipro (up 1.27 per cent) and Coforge (up 1.23 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra (down 0.26 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty IT index closed 0.94 per cent up at 35129.6.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 13.95 points at 17355.3, while the BSE Sensex stood down 127.31 points at 58177.76.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 ended in the green, while 18 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NALCO, Coal India Ltd and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Cantabil Retail, ABM International L, Action Const., Deep Industries Ltd. and Polyplex Corp. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Jiya Eco Products Lt, Varroc Engg., Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd., Grand Foundry and Inventure Grwth hit their fresh 52-week lows.
