Berger Paints Share Price: Berger Paints shares up 0.68% as Sensex rises

Shares of (India) Ltd. gained 0.68 per cent to Rs 844.3 in Tuesday’s session as of 10:46AM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 236.91 points higher at 58414.67.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 872.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 550.6 on NSE. Around 5973 shares changed hands on the counter till 10:46AM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 839.8 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 847.0 and Rs 839.8 during the session so far. The stock quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 97.05, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 8.7 and price to book value (PB) of 21.99, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 21.31.

The promoters held 74.98 per cent stake in the company as of September 14, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 11.25 per cent and 0.87 per cent, respectively.

For the quarter ended 30-Jun-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 1815.52 crore, down 11.05 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 2041.09 crore and down 93.43 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 140.59 crore for the latest quarter, up 811.74 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
