NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 69.33 points up at 58247.09 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Unishire Urban Infr (down 19.62 per cent), Bothra Metals (down 8.20 per cent), BCL Enterprises (down 7.54 per cent), Captain Technocast (down 7.14 per cent) and Bansal Roofing Prod. (down 6.98 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 32 stocks closed in the green, while 18 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 24.7 points up at 17380.0.
On the BSE, RJ Shah Co, Aashka Hospitals Ltd., Shukra Jewellery, Munoth Fin and Paos Industries hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Ami Organics Ltd., Zee Ent., Roto Pumps, Prakash Woollen & S and Aartech Solonics touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
