Divis Laboratories (up 1.12 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories (up 0.64 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 0.35 per cent), Alkem Laboratories (up 0.34 per cent) and Cipla (up 0.31 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Torrent Pharmaceuticals (down 0.35 per cent), Cadila Healthcare (down 0.28 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (down 0.2 per cent) and Lupin (down 0.04 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.41 per cent at 14435.65 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 67.35 points at 17422.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 191.44 points at 58369.2.
