Sensex rises! But these stocks are down 5% or more on BSE

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 208.8 points up at 58455.89 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, Superior Finlease (down 17.84 per cent), Relicab Cable Manufa (down 10.38 per cent), Perfectpac Ltd (down 7.43 per cent), Gini Silk Mill (down 7.10 per cent) and Athena Global Techn (down 6.70 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.

In the Nifty pack, 39 stocks traded in the green, while 11 stocks traded in the red.

The Nifty index was trading 70.7 points up at 17450.7.

On the BSE, RJ Shah Co, Aashka Hospitals Ltd., Jonjua Overseas, Photon Capital and GCM Sec hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Advait Infratech, Ami Organics Ltd., Roto Pumps, Karnataka Bank and Meghmani Finechem Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs.
