The 30-share pack Sensex zoomed 476.11 points or 0.82 per cent to close at 58,723.20. Its broader peer NSE Nifty gained 139.45 points or 0.8 per cent to 17,519.45. Both the indices scaled new lifetime highs. BSE midcap and smallcap indices added up to a per cent each.
Varroc Engineering, Zensar Technologies and Ami Organics hit upper circuit of 20 per each each, whereas BLS International soared 10 per cent. Investors booked profits in Suryoday Small Finance Bank and Dish TV India.

TOP GAINERS OF THE DAY
Varroc Engineering: The auto parts manufacturer zoomed 20 per cent to hit its daily circuit limit at Rs 313.20 on the back of inexpensive valuations. The company is in the spotlight because of the ongoing IPO of Sansera Engineering, which is a peer company.
Ami Organics: The recently-listed pharmaceutical firm continued to extend gains as it hit an upper circuit of 20 per cent to Rs 1121.45, witnessing a strong demand from the traders. Analysts expect the scrip to rise further.
Zensar Technologies: The IT software firm advanced 20 per cent to Rs 585.10 following its investor/analyst meeting with Motilal Oswal scheduled on September 13, Monday.
RPSG Ventures: The IT consulting and software player hit upper circuit of 18 per cent to scale its new 52-week high of Rs 998, thanks to strong technical set up. The traded volume on BSE jumped manifold compared to the two-week average.
Tata Motors DVR: The commercial vehicle company soared 11 per cent to Rs 159.30 ahead of its analysts and investors meeting with multiple entities scheduled on September 15.
BLS International Services: The visa service provider hit an upper circuit of 10 per cent to Rs 276.40 as the company partnered with National Health Authority as service provider to process Ayushman Bharat Cards across India.
TOP LOSERS OF THE DAY
Suryoday Small Finance Bank: The recently-listed private lender tanked 10 per cent to Rs 193.75 as the company clarified and declined to comment on reports over its merger with Clix Capital. Also, investors took some profits off the table.
Aarti Surfactants: The specialty chemicals fell 5 per cent to Rs 1,556 after the bourses sought clarification from the company over wild jumps in price and volume of the company.
Zen Technologies: The smallcap defence player hit lower circuit of 5 per cent to Rs 214.75 after a strong 145 per cent rally in the month of September. Investors took some profits off the table after the sharp rise following its investors/analysts meeting.
Somany Home Innovation: The electric equipment player shed 5 per cent to Rs 426.55 ahead of its annual general meeting (AGM) on September 27. Recently, Porinju Veliyath also sold a stake in the company.
Dish TV India: The cable and broadcasting company retreated 4 per cent to Rs 20.43 as investors booked profits in the company after a sharp 35 per cent rise in the counter. Also, BSE sought clarification from the company.
