NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 417.96 points up at 59141.16 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Superior Finlease (down 19.99 per cent), MAC Hotels (down 19.94 per cent), Prime Fresh (down 13.02 per cent), BPCL (down 10.41 per cent) and Arnold Holdings (down 10.07 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 25 stocks closed in the green, while 25 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 110.05 points up at 17629.5.
On the BSE, MAC Hotels, Aashka Hospitals Ltd., Arnold Holdings, Rajasthan Tube and Shukra Bullions hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Kaira Can, Jet Infraventure, Cravatex Ltd, Easy Trip Planners Ltd. and TPL Plastech touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
