NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (numbers of share traded: 214.75 crore), YES Bank (numbers of share traded: 91.02 crore), PNB (numbers of share traded: 19.07 crore), ITC (numbers of share traded: 14.92 crore), IDFC First Bank (numbers of share traded: 8.66 crore), IDBI Bank (numbers of share traded: 8.64 crore), Bank of Baroda (numbers of share traded: 8.31 crore), South Indian Bnk (numbers of share traded: 5.49 crore), Reliance Comm (numbers of share traded: 5.40 crore) and JP Power (numbers of share traded: 5.09 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 110.05 points up at 17629.5, while BSE Sensex ended up 417.96 points at 59141.16.
On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 10.39 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd. (down 1.76 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (down 1.30 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 1.26 per cent) and Shree Cements Ltd. (down 1.22 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
