NEW DELHI: IRCTC (Rs. 4828.15 crore), RIL (Rs. 3879.85 crore), Kotak Bank (Rs. 2884.53 crore), Tata Steel (Rs. 2714.98 crore), Bajaj Finance (Rs. 2619.52 crore), TCS (Rs. 2494.39 crore), Zee Ent. (Rs. 1932.49 crore), SBI (Rs. 1907.48 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs. 1899.34 crore) and ITC (Rs. 1852.04 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index ended the session 44.35 points down at 17585.15, while BSE Sensex fell 145.93 points to 58995.23.
In the Nifty index, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (up 5.30 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd. (up 1.42 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd. (up 1.34 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (up 1.33 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (up 1.20 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Tata Steel Ltd. (down 3.54 per cent), Coal India Ltd. (down 3.45 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 2.12 per cent), State Bank of India (down 2.07 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (down 1.93 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
