NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 13.53 crore), YES Bank (number of shares traded: 3.13 crore), Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 0.61 crore), GTL Infra (number of shares traded: 0.40 crore), PNB (number of shares traded: 0.32 crore), JP Power (number of shares traded: 0.28 crore), ITC (number of shares traded: 0.23 crore), Suzlon Energy (number of shares traded: 0.22 crore), SITI Networks (number of shares traded: 0.21 crore) and Sun Tech Over (number of shares traded: 0.18 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:24AM in Friday’s session.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 141.8 points up at 17771.3, while BSE Sensex was up 436.33 points at 59577.49 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (up 3.38 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (up 2.88 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd. (up 2.18 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd. (up 1.89 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (up 1.72 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Tata Steel Ltd. (down 2.61 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 1.12 per cent), UPL Ltd. (down 0.80 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 0.47 per cent) and Coal India Ltd. (down 0.46 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
