Lupin (down 1.52 per cent), Biocon (down 1.39 per cent), Alkem Laboratories (down 1.02 per cent), Cipla (down 0.95 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma (down 0.92 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.15 per cent at 14333.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 14.4 points at 17570.75, while the BSE Sensex was down 73.98 points at 58941.91.
