Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 31.0 points to 17554.15 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Shanti Overseas (Ind, Jiya Eco Products Lt, Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd., PVP Ventures Ltd. and Intnl Conveyors, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 15 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 35 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, HCL Tech, ITC, Divis Labs, HUL and Tech Mahindra were among top gainers, while Tata Steel, Eicher Motors, Hindalco, JSW Steel and UPL traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 183.49 points down at 58832.40 at 10:09AM (IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Glass, Diversified, Holding Company, Tobacco and Learning & Education sectors, while selling was visible in IT – Hardware, Power, Petrochemicals, Metals – Ferrous and Metals – Non Ferrous sectors.
