HCL Technologies (up 0.96 per cent), Mindtree (up 0.85 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Infotech (up 0.77 per cent), Infosys (up 0.39 per cent) and Tata Consultancy (up 0.23 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Oracle Financial Services Software (down 0.53 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 0.37 per cent) and Wipro (down 0.06 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.26 per cent at 35493.2 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 36.8 points at 17433.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 176.13 points at 58667.06.
