Alkem Laboratories (up 1.14 per cent), Biocon (up 0.49 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories (up 0.36 per cent), Divis Laboratories (up 0.34 per cent) and Cipla (up 0.29 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Cadila Healthcare (down 1.44 per cent), Lupin (down 1.31 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals (down 0.74 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 0.07 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.08 per cent at 14108.3 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 0.7 points at 17396.2, while the BSE Sensex was up 32.15 points at 58523.08.
