Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 30.25 points up at 17853.2 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
However, stocks such as DU Digital Technologies Ltd., CarTrade Tech Ltd., Inventure Grwth, Marine Electricals and Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.
Overall, 21 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 29 closed in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Asian Paints, M&M, Eicher Motors, HCL Tech and HDFC Bank were among top gainers during the day, while Tata Steel, JSW Steel, SBI, Divis Labs and Axis Bank ended in the red.
The BSE Sensex closed 163.11 points up at 60048.47.
Traders piled up positions in Fertilisers, Cables, Telecommunications, Building Materials and Diversified sectors, while selling was witnessed in IT – Hardware, Textiles, Petrochemicals, Power and Airlines sectors during the day.
