Avenue Supermart Share Price: Avenue Supermart shares down 1.54% as Sensex rises

Shares of Avenue Supermarts Ltd. fell 1.54 per cent to Rs 4353.5 in Monday’s session as of 01:45PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 117.49 points higher at 60165.96.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 4495.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 1949.3 on NSE. Around 18175 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:45PM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 4450.0 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 4450.0 and Rs 4298.8 during the session so far. The scrip quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 244.08, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 17.83 and price to book value (PB) of 15.17, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 9.02.

The promoters held 74.99 per cent stake in the company as of September 27, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 10.04 per cent and 6.19 per cent, respectively.

For the quarter ended 30-Jun-2021, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 5214.58 crore, down 30.1 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 7459.8 crore and down 32.56 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 95.37 crore for the latest quarter, up 137.89 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
