Shares of Lupin (up 1.07 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (up 0.06 per cent) and Dr Reddys Laboratories (up 0.03 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Divis Laboratories (down 3.45 per cent), Cadila Healthcare (down 1.16 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 0.96 per cent), Biocon (down 0.56 per cent) and Cipla (down 0.51 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.93 per cent down at 14156.7.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 1.9 points at 17855.1, while the BSE Sensex stood up 29.41 points at 60077.88.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 ended in the green, while 24 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, YES Bank, Zee Ent. and Indian Hotels were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of EIH Associated, India Glycols, EIH, Chalet Hotels and Marathon Nextgen hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while DU Digital Technologies Ltd., Shanti Overseas (Ind, Jiya Eco Products Lt, Synergy Green Ind and Suvidhaa Infoserve Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows.
