Phoenix Mills (up 6.43 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (up 2.54 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate (up 1.92 per cent), DLF (up 1.72 per cent) and Sunteck Realty (up 1.42 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Hemisphere Properties India (down 0.07 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 1.63 per cent at 509.45 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 0.45 points at 17853.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 29.08 points at 60077.55.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.
