NEW DELHI: Quite a few stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red on Tuesday amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that rallied over 10% included, Phyto Chem(14.75%), Paramone Concepts(14.48%), SBL Infratech Ltd.(12.61%), Jagsonpal Pharm(11.42%), Retro Green Revoluti(10.68%), Saint Gobain Sek(10.5%), Paragon Finance(10.23%) and Novateor Research(10.09%).
The 30-share Sensex traded 201.72 points down at 59876.16, while the 50-share Nifty index fell 40.4 points to 17814.7.
In the Nifty 50 index, 24 stocks traded in the green, while 26 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as NTC Industries, SBL Infratech Ltd., Novateor Research, Surana Telecom and Stove Kraft Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while Superior Finlease, Nova Pub, Promact Impex, Jain Marmo Indus and BFL Asset Finvest touched their new 52-week low in trade.
