NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, NTC Industries(19.96%), Novateor Research(19.95%), Simmonds Marsh(19.5%), Paramone Concepts(19.46%), Vaksons Automobiles(17.45%) and Brahmaputra Inf(16.03%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 410.28 points down at 59667.6, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 106.5 points down at 17748.6.
In the Nifty50 index, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 30 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as NTC Industries, Novateor Research, Vaksons Automobiles, Brahmaputra Inf and SBL Infratech Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while Scanpoint Geo(PP), MAC Hotels, Meglon InfraReal, Shanti Educational and Superior Finlease touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
