NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 31.94 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 11.74 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 11.53 crore), IDBI Bank(numbers of share traded: 8.95 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 8.73 crore), Trident Ltd(numbers of share traded: 5.78 crore), IFCI(numbers of share traded: 5.60 crore), ONGC(numbers of share traded: 4.61 crore), Coal India Ltd(numbers of share traded: 4.16 crore) and NTPC(numbers of share traded: 3.59 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 106.5 points down at 17748.6, while BSE Sensex ended down 410.28 points at 59667.6.
On the other hand, Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 3.65 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 3.44 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 3.23 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 3.01 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 2.67 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
