Power Grid Corporation of India(up 4.69%), NLC India(up 4.51%), JSW Energy(up 3.84%), Orient Green Power Company(up 3.28%), Indowind Energy(up 3.13%), NTPC(up 3.11%), Gujarat Industries Power(up 1.91%), KEC International(up 1.40%), ABBPP&SLTD(up 1.22%) and Alstom T&D India(up 1.10%) were among the top gainers.
Indo Tech Transformers(down 2.33%), Jyoti Structures(down 1.60%), Suzlon Energy(down 1.59%), DPSC(down 1.00%), Reliance Power(down 0.77%), Inox wind(down 0.69%), Adani Transmissions(down 0.68%), Adani Power(down 0.67%), Energy Development Company(down 0.55%) and Kalpataru Power Transmission(down 0.54%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 48.7 points down at 17806.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 217.67 points at 59860.21 at around 11:11AM.
Coal India(up 4.91%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 4.63%), NTPC(up 3.15%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 2.28%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.88%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.63%), JSW Steel(up 1.44%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.26%), Tata Steel(up 1.13%) and Eicher Motors(up 1.12%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bharti Airtel(down 2.39%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.93%), HCL Technologies(down 1.77%), Asian Paints(down 1.69%), Wipro(down 1.63%), Infosys(down 1.6%), Bajaj Finance(down 1.38%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.23%), HDFC Bank(down 1.07%) and ICICI Bank(down 1.05%) were trading in the red.
