NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 32.37 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 19.50 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 13.04 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 12.67 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 10.37 crore), Coal India Ltd(numbers of share traded: 10.10 crore), Max Healthcare(numbers of share traded: 9.61 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 7.98 crore), NTPC(numbers of share traded: 7.59 crore) and ONGC(numbers of share traded: 6.80 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 37.3 points down at 17711.3, while BSE Sensex ended down 254.33 points at 59413.27.
On the other hand, Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.83 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.68 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.63 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.42 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
