Oberoi Realty(up 4.44 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 1.92 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.59 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 1.14 per cent) and Hemisphere Properties India(up 1.1 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Phoenix Mills(down 1.68 per cent), Sunteck Realty(down 1.5 per cent), SOBHA(down 0.88 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.73 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was up 1.18 per cent at 506.6 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 65.1 points at 17683.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 284.98 points at 59382.62.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.
