NEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Systematix Sec(up 49.86%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 53.86 points down at 59359.41, while the 50-share index, NSE was 24.5 points down at 17686.8.
In the Nifty50 index, 22 stocks traded in the green, while 27 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Systematix Sec, Novateor Research, Aadi Industries Ltd., Athena Global Techn and Ambika Cotton hit their fresh 52-week high, while Standard Shoe Sole, Superior Finlease, Purple Entertainment, Milgrey Finance and Nova Pub touched their new 52-week low during the session.
