NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Systematix Sec(49.86%), Kanchi Karpooram(20.0%), Vasundhara Rasayans(18.18%) and Sprayking Agro Equip(18.18%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 286.91 points down at 59126.36, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 93.15 points down at 17618.15.
In the Nifty50 index, 10 stocks closed in the green, while 40 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Systematix Sec, RMC Switchgears, Sheetal Cool, Spencer’s Retail Ltd. and Triveni Turbine hit their fresh 52-week high, while Naapbooks Ltd., Superior Finlease, Arihant Tourne, Nexus Commoditie and HemoOrganic touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
