NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 286.91 points down at 59126.36 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Upasana Finance(down 14.34 per cent), Jointeca Edu(down 13.41 per cent), Unique Organics(down 11.25 per cent), Paramone Concepts(down 10.18 per cent) and Billwin Industries L(down 9.90 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 10 stocks closed in the green, while 40 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 93.15 points down at 17618.15.
On the BSE, Naapbooks Ltd., Superior Finlease, Arihant Tourne, Nexus Commoditie and HemoOrganic hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Systematix Sec, RMC Switchgears, Sheetal Cool, Spencer’s Retail Ltd. and Triveni Turbine touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
