NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 100.42 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 11.13 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 8.50 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 8.37 crore), IOB(numbers of share traded: 7.94 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 6.77 crore), IDBI Bank(numbers of share traded: 6.20 crore), Trident Ltd(numbers of share traded: 6.18 crore), SAIL(numbers of share traded: 5.91 crore) and Central Bank(numbers of share traded: 5.33 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday’s market in terms of trading volume.
The NSE Nifty index closed 93.15 points down at 17618.15, while BSE Sensex ended down 286.91 points at 59126.36.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.64 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.36 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.99 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.87 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.86 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
