NEW DELHI: Quite a few stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red on Friday amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that rallied over 10% included, Gujarat Hy-Spin(13.28%), MRPL(10.83%), Martin Burn(10.45%) and Meghmani Finechem Ltd.(10.0%).
The 30-share Sensex traded 268.3 points down at 58858.06, while the 50-share Nifty index fell 74.45 points to 17543.7.
In the Nifty 50 index, 22 stocks traded in the green, while 28 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd., Pyxis Finvest, Dynemic Product, GTPL Hathway and Meghmani Finechem Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while Superior Finlease, Shree Manufact, Oceanaa Biotek, Regency Investments and Arnold Holdings touched their new 52-week low in trade.
