NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 471.43 points down at 58654.93 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, RMC Switchgears(down 16.75 per cent), Misquita Engineering(down 9.97 per cent), Olympia Ind(down 6.61 per cent), Ratnabhumi Developer(down 5.95 per cent) and Solitaire Mach(down 5.29 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 11 stocks traded in the green, while 39 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 133.8 points down at 17484.35.
On the BSE, Superior Finlease, Shree Manufact, Krsnaa Diagnostics Ltd., Dhani Ibull Ventures(PP)and Shalimar Prod hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd., GTPL Hathway, Novateor Research, Aadi Industries Ltd. and Delta Corp touched their fresh 52-week highs.
