NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 360.78 points down at 58765.58 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Octaware Technologie(down 11.11 per cent), Acrow India(down 10.31 per cent), Econo Trade(I)(down 9.88 per cent), Misquita Engineering(down 9.81 per cent) and Hindustan Fluro(down 8.95 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 25 stocks closed in the green, while 25 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 86.1 points down at 17532.05.
On the BSE, Khemani Dist, Pyxis Finvest, Munoth Fin, Purple Entertainment and HemoOrganic hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd., Vinyl Chemicals, Dynemic Product, Martin Burn and Sheetal Cool touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
